Shoot. I was getting my hopes up for a minute. Passed unanimously though, so that’s cool. I don’t like the statement that it’s going to take 16-18 months. I don’t think it will and I think that’s more to get the final funding raised or he just misspoke. I’d say 12-14 months.Cat Grad wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 6:26 amhttps://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/n ... 3bc2c.html

Seriously, what's the big rush? Getting ground broken and the project started is the main thing, IMO. A building of this size will take some time to complete. Patience, people!iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:08 amShoot. I was getting my hopes up for a minute. Passed unanimously though, so that’s cool. You’re right. I just don’t think it’ll take that long. UM’s took 18 months.grizzh8r wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:15 amSeriously, what's the big rush? I believe "we" ought to be patient and wait and see what the final product will look like. It is my belief our school's big donors are more in touch with reality than "other" schools and will not half-ass this project. Do you honestly think a MSU product (company) is going to walk away from a job leaving an eyesore and safety hazard by not somehow finding the requisite resources be it coming in under budget or a multitude of options to not be able to bowl in the endzone? Knowing and recalling the last endeavor, wasn't it a pleasant surprise to discover the inventor of those beautiful scoreboards that are in all the stadiums all across the U.S. was a MSU graduate and he saw it in his heart to donate a nice, new state of art scoreboard to MSU?iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:08 amShoot. That sounds right. Didn't Costello say 14-16 months on his interview with SACCAT? Depending on when they start, it probably doesn't matter much. Obviously it won't be done before the 2020 season starts, so if the target date is August of 2021 for completion, that's realistically 20 months or so to get it done "in time" for us fans. Obviously for the football program itself the sooner they can be in, the better. The pictures have to be good for recruits to see, but seeing the pictures along with some construction in progress has to be much more effective.allcat wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:54 amI'm thinking more like 15 months.grizzh8r wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:15 amSeriously, what's the big rush? Yes, in my interview he said 14-16 months. They would plan on moving into the building summer of 2021. We also talked about Fans, and I know for sure that if they said it will take 12 months, and it was a day behind, fans would be the first to say "what the hell, why isn't this done"kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 9:01 amThat sounds right. BradCAT says the design team has already been hired. I assume they’re already working on it. Regardless, construction can’t begin until the final $1.5 million is raised.St George wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:54 amI'd say 15-18 months is realistic. Typically design is done in stages, this could be conceptual (the renderings we seen), 35%, 65%, 95%,100%. This allows for input from the entire team along the way. Then on to construction. I can see design taking easily 60 days.
When does Bobcatnation get to review and approve the plans?iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:28 pmBradCAT says the design team has already been hired. I assume they’re already working on it. I already did. They are awesome. Should take 14 most 3 weeks and 4 days.MSU Toddler wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:54 pmWhen does Bobcatnation get to review and approve the plans?iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:28 pmBradCAT says the design team has already been hired. Construction for this should be around 14-16 months. Goal is to have it open prior to Fall Camp 2021iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:28 pmBradCAT says the design team has already been hired. If the project takes 14-16 months and won’t open until fall camp 2021 then they are not expecting shovels in the ground until after this football season is over correct?TomCat88 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 5:37 amOkay Brad_CAT it’s been a week, how’s that design looking? Which with Cat griz in town I think it would be wise to not have the area around the stadium disturbed with abnormally larger amount of tailgating that weekend.
Or am I missing something ?
