He's a big ol' dude, that's for sure. It will be interesting to see if he stays on the DL or moves over to OL. Can never have too many big athletic bodies.

Nice! Hope he stays on the DL. When was the last time we had someone with his size(height AND weight) on the DL? I love the shorter hole pluggers in the middle but sometimes some length is nice too!

On a more serious note, kid looks like a plug and he has some strong hands, he gets a hold of you and won't let go. Williams, Benson, Sterk and this kid are going to be a dominant D-line

I don't think he is a plug and play DT as of yet. He still needs a bunch of work on his technique. Choate and Hout will not let him play on the defensive line with the pad level he displayed in high school. Needs to be much more consistent with his hands and body placement against the run as he washes himself out of plays and allows himself to get blocked too easily.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:18 pmOn a more serious note, kid looks like a plug and he has some strong hands, he gets a hold of you and won't let go. However, he is 6'3", 290 lbs. and can move. Very excited about his body type and strength for the interior of the defensive line!

Playing with that high pad level will have you starting in Missoula, however!VimSince03 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:23 pmChoate and Hout will not let him play on the defensive line with the pad level he displayed in high school.

I guess when i say "plug" i was thinking more along the line that i didn't see anyone push him backwards. He does play high, but i guess he's so big (compared to the other players) i didn't notice.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:23 pmI don't think he is a plug and play DT as of yet. My bad. But yeah...he doesn't get moved backwards very easily.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 1:58 pmI guess when i say "plug" i was thinking more along the line that i didn't see anyone push him backwards. Now that Faleatua has committed, do you think we are still offering Jayden Simon? Very similar kids in size, but Jayden looks faster, more athletic and more polished IMO.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 2:01 pmMy bad. Oh most definitely. Choate wants the lines bigger and not very often do you get a shot at two 6'3", 290 lb. high schoolers. They want him.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 2:41 pmNow that Faleatua has committed, do you think we are still offering Jayden Simon? Re: Faleatua Areta commits!
Excited about this guy.... Ya can't teach 6'3" 290... guy is a monster. Technique and all that other stuff can be picked up.
And yeah, the thought of potentially have this guy and Simon (who I really hope signs) line up next to each other.... especially by the time they would be juniors/seniors...….. yikes.
