Re: Gregorak?
I havent heard anything about this, but a buddy just texted me and asked. Who has the scoop?

I would hate to see him leave, but if he is leaving, its back to UM, their getting the band back together.

I cannot fathom a circumstance in which Gregorak was forced to leave.

Re: Gregorak?
That would be the likely jump. Would get a substantial bump in pay and if Klieman faulters, it isn't like Ty won't be in demand as either a DC or LB coach depending on the level. This is a logical move for Ty and his career. He needs to start spreading his resume further than the UM/MSU coaching tree. If he is going to K-State, I can't thank the guy enough for bringing an attitude back to MSU on the defensive side of the ball.

Re: Gregorak?
Agreed, this would be fantastic for his career. Gregorak has performed well at both Montana and Montana State, but it would help his resume to branch out, and the step up to Big 12 coach is a great jump.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 5:49 pmThat would be the likely jump. Re: Gregorak?
It does state that Monachino is also the LB's coach...but maybe Kleiman wanted to add?

Re: Gregorak?
That's interesting. Klieman must have saw something he liked about our defense as his team was running all over us in the Fargo Dome.
Both our coordinators from 2017 are on K-State's staff. I'm sure Messingham gave a good recommendation on Gregorak?

Re: Gregorak?
So, if this is true is there anyone currently on our staff who can assume the mantle?

Let's keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed yet.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 6:11 pmThat's interesting. Klieman must have saw something he liked about our defense as his team was running all over us in the Fargo Dome.

Re: Gregorak?
Choate obviously would bring in a coordinator. Nothing against Hout, Risinger, and Orphey but they are in the early stages of their position coach careers.

Make a run at Roger Cooper or give Kane a legit shot.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Good for him. He has paid his dues. That is cool that he was asked. Coaching changes starting to happen. Will be interesting to see who we hire to replace him.

Impossible! Didn’t you listen to @KHaslam and his expert opinion that Gregorak knows nothing about defense?!

Re: Gregorak?
Again, there has been ZERO confirmation on his status. K-State feels like pure speculation. I think Klieman is done putting his staff together so don't know where Ty fits there. Just read again that the Defensive Co. is also the LB Coach. I don't think it's K-State.

Yup. Would love to see me stay but 3 years is what I expected. Then move to FBS.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 8:12 pmAgain, there has been ZERO confirmation on his status.
