What’s the difference in a course for a PGA event and how it’s set up the rest of the year?

Where does a Masters setup at Augusta rank in the toughest courses you’ve ever played?
What separates a Tour set up from a from a course that’s already difficult, but not a Tour set up?
How much of your practice time would you estimate you spend doing drills versus regular old beating balls, practice rounds, putting, etc.?
Do you use the hands of the clock method for controlling your wedge distance (e.g. Pelz) or do you use another method?
How many feet of putts made do you consider a good round?
These new stats Strokes Gained _________ seem gimmicky and retarded to me. Do Tour players use them? It seems like SGP goes up if you make a five foot eagle putt, but not a five foot par putt. My point is, a five footer is a five footer no matter what you’re putting for and the SGP doesn’t really reveal how good a putter someone is, it’s really just a measure of how a player stacks up against everyone else in the field. Or am I way off?
What are some of the things Tour pros practice that amateurs could really benefit from?
Is Bubba Watson really that big a doucher?
What’s your favorite stop that’s not one of the really obvious ones like Pebble or Augusta?
Do you enjoy the 16th at Phoenix, or do you feel some nerves?

1) How does he prepare himself mentally before a big tourney.
2) What's the best mental advice he has ever received? From who?
3) Does he have a sports psychologist?
4) What does he do to pull himself out of a mental slump?

I’m a golf course superintendent. It’s resources, bodies, and time. That equals lots more money than your local favorite 18 hole course has at their disposal. So nope it’s not just water and mow.SACCAT wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 1:06 pmActually...He said it is pretty much just water and mow

Re: Special guest on next weeks sports show!!!
Just saying what he told me...Basically said "They make the greens faster, the rough longer, and the biggest difference is pin placement. They put the pins in places that they would never put them for normal golfers" The question was "How do they change a public course for PGA play"...You can listen on Thursday and see what he says...94VegasCat wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 4:00 pmI’m a golf course superintendent.
