From what I understand it means Never Again will they allow themselves to get throttled by any team, like NDSU did last year.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

What many of us expected. Guy is gonna play linebacker like he wants. But they’d be idiots to not be the ball in his hands 5-10 times on offense. I’m excited.

Yep, make the other teams prepare for both styles of offense. I like the idea of playing him at RB on Third Down and dropping some underneath passes to him or some wheel routes. That should keep the D from pinning their ears back and straight rushing the passer. When he gets to the second level ... BYE BYE. And of course he is also tough in the Red Zone as well.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 8:27 pmWhat many of us expected. Guy is gonna play linebacker like he wants. Re: Winter questions/rumors/info.
I was a bit surprised at the number Choate threw out there though. first he said 10 and then he said he'd get about 12 plays a game on offense. That's quite a few for a full time linebacker. Seems like a lot, but given Troy's record, that should be good for at least one take-it-to-the-house run a game.

Choate said 10 touches and 12 plays. So there’d be a couple plays where he’s just a decoy.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 10:51 amI was a bit surprised at the number Choate threw out there though. first he said 10 and then he said he'd get about 12 plays a game on offense. Agreed, that's an awful lot of snaps for someone to play an entire game if he is going to play a vast majority on defense as well.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 10:51 amI was a bit surprised at the number Choate threw out there though. first he said 10 and then he said he'd get about 12 plays a game on offense. Not really...Cats just need to force a 3 and out on every possession. Troy will probably be bored just sitting there watching the Offense score all the time.CelticCat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 11:12 amAgreed, that's an awful lot of snaps for someone to play an entire game if he is going to play a vast majority on defense as well.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 10:51 amI was a bit surprised at the number Choate threw out there though. first he said 10 and then he said he'd get about 12 plays a game on offense. Biggest thing it does it takes some pressure of the QB and the other running backs - Think of Jonsen, Andersen, Ifanse, Murray and another back in a spread formation, who can the defense match up to that group.CARDIAC_CATS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 9:40 amYep, make the other teams prepare for both styles of offense. Don't forget Logan Jones, and several other talented RBs that it will be tough them touches. I've said it before but we are absolutely loaded at RB.Montanabob wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 11:44 amBiggest thing it does it takes some pressure of the QB and the other running backs - Think of Jonsen, Andersen, Ifanse, Murray and another back in a spread formation, who can the defense match up to that group.CARDIAC_CATS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 9:40 amYep, make the other teams prepare for both styles of offense. That clip will never get old... Grant and Tucker were all over that play from the beginning and Chase just bulls his way through!RobertCats wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 4:08 pmFound it!!RobertCats wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 4:07 pmIt doesn't even look like he is struggling with it! in fact, I think a video surfaced not too long ago with Bensen absolutely rag dolling like 280 lbs.FTG247365 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 10:20 pmDAMN! I forgot about Logan Jones. Just Jones and Ifanse could arguably be the best backfield in the Big Sky!catatac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 4:19 pmDon't forget Logan Jones, and several other talented RBs that it will be tough them touches. Re: Winter questions/rumors/info.
In the diamond formation I’d like to see Murray, Andersen, Jonsen and Jones. All that speed. Doesn’t matter who plays the QB spot between Murray, Andersen or Jonsen. You could swap them around pre-snap just to mess with the defense a little more.Cataholic wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 7:26 pmI forgot about Logan Jones. The top one. That one you have train years for. The shot is great but you dont necessarily train for it.
