Just saw Davis from Weber State won the Rice Award for the top freshman in the FCS. There were five other RBs nominated, Ifanse wasn’t one of them despite having more rushing yards and third best ypc out of that group.
Probably not nominated because he came on strong later in the season.
Rice Award - Ifanse not nominated?

He had one unbelievable game and a handful of very good games. His second half of the season was good enough to win the award, but I agree, he didn't put together a full season that was worthy of a national award. Still incredible, and maybe that motivates him to prove he is as good as the other nominees.

Agreed, his early season was hampered by poor play calls. Once that was fixed, he was a monster in spite of hamstring issues.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."
