The Official/unofficial Cats vs ndsu game day thread...
2nd Round Playoff game day thread is now open!
We've heard all the prognostications about how this game is an uphill battle for the Cats. We get that! There is no way we will win...we get that.
As per some commentators, most commentators, we have less than a 1% chance to win this game. We get it.
So what, it's time to go out and win the game that makes us the playoff darlings. This will be a fun game no matter how it plays out for the Cat win!
Go Get it Cats!!!

The Bobcats have nothing to lose, so they may as well try to match NDSU’s physicality, discipline and focus all game. That way they’ll at least know where they stack up with the Bison. This is one of the best teams NDSU has had. They’ve outscored their opponents by 29 points per game (most during their current run) and out gained them by 170 yards per game (3rd most).
MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Bison 28
Bobcats 14
Curious to see if the old dog (Messingham) has any trick plays up his sleeve. The Bison have been kind of vanilla in that regard.
Best of luck to the Bobcats. Hope everyone has safe travels.

Even if he's healthy enough, it's been a year since he's played. I can't imagine he'd be very effective. Glad to hear he's recovered, though! LBs should be great next season.cowgirlcat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 6:25 amhttps://msubobcats.com/news/2018/11/29/ ... today.aspx

Re: The Official/unofficial Cats vs ndsu game day thread...
I think they are vanilla because they dominate the line of scrimmage and simply don't need to do anything else. Every coach in America would love the luxury of being able to trot out a vanilla offense and take no risks because they don't have to. Billings Central was that way this year in Class A.BisonCardinal wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 7:35 amBison 28

That being said, let's hope the 'Cats can disrupt things a little and make it interesting. GO CATS!

He’s playing today. I don’t know how much but can’t imagine our staff would trot him out there if they didn’t think he could be effective. Nice addition.91catAlum wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 7:59 amEven if he's healthy enough, it's been a year since he's played. I can't imagine he'd be very effective. Glad to hear he's recovered, though! Wow that's crazy. I can't imagine he'll play much. I wonder if the coaches want to convey to the team the season can go on after today...ilovethecats wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 9:27 amHe’s playing today. I obviously don’t know the specifics but back surgery is back surgery. Wonder if today will be a barometer of his football future?technoCat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 9:32 amWow that's crazy. I think the key to this game will be how long can Yates play.
