The Stuff

Post by 84CatGrad » Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:19 am

I've watched the last play 3,000 times now. Chase Benson drove the center three yards back into the backfield, giving Eastwood no option but to go straight ahead. Yates out-leveraged the right guard - no doubt his wrestling skills served him well here - threw him down to his right and lunged at Eastwood making the primary hit. Collins was coming like a missile from his MLB spot, and he and Wright - who stood up the right tackle, arrived nano-seconds after Yates. I'm no technician of outstanding line play but even I can tell our entire D-line blew up their O-line on this play.

It is a thing of beauty.

Nailed it with Yates and wrestling. He literally just hit a snap down on the center and planted him on his nose. Something he drilled probably thousands of times throughout his wrestling career. If any high school d linemen think simply spending weight room time in the winter is more valuable than wrestling for a season, they’re missing out. Yates is a perfect example of that.

Choate’s time-out played a big role. They got a look at the formation and apparently made the right call and the defense executed perfectly.

Both Jays call and the TV call though. "The Bobcats hold! The Bobcats hold!" That will go down in history.

Jays call needs to be here too. Just chilling.

Check out the aftermath if griz players on the ground too. Devastation.

I would like to hear the griz announcers if anyone has the link. They are hard to listen to.

Pause this at the 2 second mark. Sneed could have leisurely walked through the 4 hole. Not sure Konkol could have got there in time.

Looks like Konkol would've got there. That's why Sneed gave the ball, he saw Konkol.

I also love right after this clip ends, the announcer says something like "Penalty flags for excessive celibration and THEY DON'T CARE"

I've rewatched it several times. It's as if Benson is going up against a Pop Warner kid instead of a D1 football player. It wasn't even a back and forth struggle where Benson eventually wears him down. It was instantaneous and complete domination. Benson blew his tits right off.

Yates literally tosses Cy Sirmon out of his way like last week's trash.

This clip is my new porn.

What does the fourth word of your fifth sentence mean to you? And why did you choose it? :coffee:

I was being figurative. It’s doubtful anyone else came to the same conclusion you did. You seem mentally ill. You should schedule yourself for an appointment to get checked out, if for no other reason than to make sure the children in your neighborhood aren’t in any immediate danger. :coffee:
