The winner of Cat/Griz gets......

Post by BigBruceBaker » Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:50 am

A home playoff game.

Both stadiums will fill, maximizing revenue for the NCAA. Take it to the bank!

Been saying this since the ISU loss. Win out and we're in the playoffs. The games Saturday made this much more realistic.

I'll see you all next weekend! \:D/

I'll be there with bells on. @bobcat99 owes me like 42 beers.

I doubt it will happen. Best either can finish is 5th in BSC. They are not taking 5 BSC teams with the way we played out of conference this year.

It would actually be a tie for fourth and would have 2 more DI wins than ISU.

If Idaho State beats Weber this Saturday at home, the committee will have a hard time putting us in over them. If they lose, I see us getting in now that Cal Poly rolled them. They should have gotten beat by Portland State last week and we should have beat them at home, so with our ability to draw a crowd, I see the winner of this game getting in. If Idaho State beats Weber, it's all for none I think.

Absolutely. If Idaho State beats Weber, Cat griz is for pride only.

A. I don't think there's a shot in hell of ISU beating Weber.

B. If that does happen, I'm not sure ISU gets in with only 6 D1 wins. They kind of screwed themselves with their schedule this year.

C. Cal Poly loss was bad.

According to STATS Senior Editor Craig Haley if we win, we're in.

I honestly think its a long shot, if we get in, we are a low seed, which means traveling.

Some fans always forget that 1st round games go to any of the teams that put in the minimum bid. They are not awarded by potential butts in seats.

With as much money as uncle Sugar Denny has, guess you'll be in Sanfranzoola even if the Griz finish 6-5 Thanksgiving weekend.

Yes, the first rounds are based upon bids. Then, it's determined by seeds (and again, bids will determine sites). Plan on seeing several tournament games on the east coast.

First round home/away is not based on seeding, it's based on $ bid. IF we get in, we would host. Same for the griz.

I've been reading anything I can get my hands on about playoff scenarios since Saturday night. Not message boards but any national publications that really follow fcs football. So far, much of what I have read says just that. If the Cats win most experts and writers are saying we're in. If the Griz win they might need some help but have a chance to be in. One guy said this game is basically a playoff game with the winner advancing to the next round.

It's not a certainty. But if you don't think the Cats have a very good shot at the playoffs with a win I don't think you're paying much attention to what's being said everywhere else besides BobcatNation and Egriz...

You’re giving them too much credit. They aren’t paying attention to bobcatnation or egriz either.
