He is saying that the record for rushing yards by a freshman running back was Aaron Mason with 645 yards, now broken by Ifanse. However the record for rushing yards by any freshman is Murray at 860 yards even though he was a quarterback, not a running back. So Ifanse currently is the leading freshman running back rusher all time at MSU and needs 17 yards to become the all time freshman rushing leader. It is kind of an odd distinction, but what he said does make sense.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 2:01 pmummm, you kind of say 2 different things there?
anyway, yeah, I think he needs 17 yards to break the freshman record, which is held by Murray.

I think Ifanse already broke the freshman RB record, which was Aaron Mason 645 yards. The freshman record is Murray 860. Ifanse needs 17 to tie.

Yes. I said 1) he broke the frosh RB rushing record and 2) he’s 17 yards from the frosh rushing record. Lol.

Wow. Saturday's gamme will likely put TA at #1 in several categories and close to the top in several others. He is a special talent and we are incredibly fortunate to have him playing for the Cats.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Wow, he has a good chance at breaking a 52 year old record with the most rushing tds in a season, and then he probably plays on the other side of the ball next year hahaha. This kid’s talent is out of this world.......

RC, as we are products of a rather well thought of academic institution, let's assume parts of your theory that is to be tested based upon known predictions and limitations actually uses the logic called affirming the consequent. Just assume confirmational strategy if you will. I do not believe in the slightest Coach Choate will in his worst nightmares consider BN posters among reliable Online databases and will for apparent reasons skim through the half a dozen vocal proponents of moving a unanimous All-Conference QB to a defensive position. I just don't believe that will happen next year or the following.RobertCats wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 9:50 amWow, he has a good chance at breaking a 52 year old record with the most rushing tds in a season, and then he probably plays on the other side of the ball next year hahaha. Case in point: those data posted here are neither valid nor reliable as they are citing only evidence that supports their myopic viewpoints; e.g., those data are clearly evidence of citation bias at best; however; I would personally view all that skewed data as not testable, replicable nor parsimonious; i.e., they fail the test of being key criteria to develop a good hypothesis or theory.
The prior staff futily attempted to utilize analytics if you recall to in-game decision making. That staff afforded the casual observer of various athletic competions the opportunity to witness near mind boggling offensive statistics if you will recall. Except those statistics did not mean much toward the ultimate goal of a football game in that special teams (remember the classic swinging gate on extra points that Bobby utilized with the Griz this year?), defense, and the pentultimate statistic: the scoreboard.
That kid from Dillon, Troy Andersen, is incredible. He will lead real Bobcat football up against the style of play those many detractors of that style of play advocate at the MSU football field this Saturday and hopefully we will all get an opportunity to travel to Fargo next week to judge first hand whether or not Coach Choate has restored Bobcat football to MSU. These next two games, this year by the way, will afford all the staticians a better sample size on which to base their heretofore rather sketchy conclusions as to where Troy Andersen belongs on a football field. To me he is a real MSU quarterback.

Re: 2018 Record Watch
updated with NDSU game. Great year!
To summarize the records watch for 2018- Troy Andersen pretty much crushed it, breaking several season records and climbing up several career lists... just amazing!

ESPN box score shows Josh Hill with the interception yesterday. I'm sure I saw Jacque Alleyne make the int. Am I mistaken?

Re: 2018 Record Watch
Number 58 made the interception without a doubt, which was obvious from every replay. To my best recollection, that's Josh Hill.

Re: 2018 Record Watch
Thanks guys. I only saw it in real time, no replays. I saw the 5 but must have missed the 8.
