DFO Britney Johnson - to Oregon State

Post by HelenaCat95 » Wed Feb 21, 2018 9:34 am

Looks like our Director of Football Operations Britney Johnson has taken a position at Oregon State.
I know she was well-liked and did a good job for MSU. Good luck to her!!

That's a few that have went to OSU to try and save the basement program of the pac 12.

And at NAU Robin Pflugrad has been hired as the receivers coach. Pflugrad, whose son Aaron is offensive coordinator for the Lumberjacks, previously coached receivers at Montana, Arizona State, Washington State, Oregon and more.

Another one from the Petersen staff tree moves to a bigger job. What an exciting time for MSU football and the opportunities afforded to staff and coaching staff members, plus with the talent being pulled in via recruiting, things seem as promising as any time I can recall since the DeNarius days. Time to start finishing those close losses to good teams into wins next fall. I think realistically MSU is one year away from being competitive nationally to make a playoff run, but there is no reason this team can't compete for a Big Sky title next fall. The QB competition is the key, IMO. Improve the passing game even marginally and watch out.

Wait, so Robin works for his son at NAU?

Clearly nepotism.

Reminiscent of Lane/Monte Kiffin at USC. Pflugrad really got screwed over, along with Jim O'Day, in that entire UM rape era. The scapegoats...

What did they finally decide to do with Sauers? Is he still the coach?

We can’t be one year away every season. The time is now.

You can have your expectations. Mine are for MSU to compete for the Big Sky championship and win a playoff game or two. If you think they should be national champs next year or in the semis or championship game, I just don't see it, and to me it's a fan setting his/herself up for disappointment. Then again, there are a lot of complainers here, so I acknowledge this as well.
