The other kid transferring from Washington is a Cirmon. Pretty sure his brother played at UM. Wonder if he transfers there.
That’s actually starting Griz center Cy Sirmon’s cousin. He is staying at UW now. Would be an awesome QB addition if he decides to leave next year.
If he ends up throwing the ball for the Griz like his brother blocks, he’s gonna be good ...
Again, as stated earlier, Cy is his cousin. I’m not sure about his brother. Jacobs Dad is David who played for the Griz in one of their National title runs. Jacob was the #1 player in Washington and committed to UW as a sophomore.

Cy Sirmon. Reminds me of Sunday mass.
Sigh Sermon.

Sounds like UM might be able to get his brother from UW next year. Was it Benson or Yates that blew up Sirmon on “The Stuff?”

I think he’ll end up staying at UW and having solid career. Hard to say

Yates, but he didn’t necessarily blow up Sirmon. Sirmon appears to get caught with his feet out of position and Yates just took his poor balance and momentum out of the play. Benson did what I would call “blow up” his man.

Congrats to Boyle, proves we are recruiting the right people.
Not concerned about punters but two kickers on the team that are both seniors leave the cupboard a little bare.
Was he going to be on scholarship or pwo?

Potentially a scholarship kid. But that's just my guess.

I'm not a big fan of coaches pulling offers, but this sort of thing really shows that players do the same thing. Players can commit to a team/school and then change their minds when a better offer comes along. Nothing wrong with that at all, but it does kind of suck.

I thought he had signed a letter of intent, not just "committed"???

I can't see Choate not letting him leave to go to WSU but it would be his choice.

If your student-athlete changes their mind about the school they signed an NLI with, they must ask to be released from the program. If they are not granted a release form, the player will lose one year of eligibility. A common reason why student-athletes decide to enroll in a school other than the one they've signed an NLI with is if the coach at the program leaves the school. The National Letter of Intent is a legal contract between a school and a student-athlete; they are not tied to coaches.

I thought he was a preferred walk-on but I'm not positive of that.

Now he's got a San Diego State Offer :(

That's a big boy.

Never really did much at UW. At the least, should be a good rotational piece.

Didn’t play much, but that happens often to good players on good teams. Washington has had one of the top defenses in the PAC12 for the past few years.

He would be a welcome and much-needed addition to MSU's interior defensive line.

Definitely. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
