Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (34 Signees)
I was worried initially about our DL, but the more I think about it the more excited I get. And Scrampos would be a welcome addition to the rotation, even if just to spell the starters.

Will Dissly is playing TE for Seattle today is because he saw the depth at D-line Washington had and changed positions.

Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (34 Signees)
MSU could, most likely will, have three UW DL playing at one time this season. That’s just strange and I wonder if it’s ever happened before.
MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Could be, but FWIW I see he was selected as a captain during spring ball at Rocky. I doubt MSU is still looking at him considering the players brought in since December 25.Grizaddict wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 1:22 pmSome folks are saying Ryder is heading to Missoula as a Grad TransferVimSince03 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 25, 2018 4:03 pmInteresting. Help me understand why being selected as a captain eliminates the ability to Grad Transfer? So an All American with the leadership skills and trust of his teammates, yep why would you want that right?iaafan wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 1:31 pmCould be, but FWIW I see he was selected as a captain during spring ball at Rocky. It doesn’t eliminate his ability to transfer, which is why I said “FWIW”.Grizaddict wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 2:00 pmHelp me understand why being selected as a captain eliminates the ability to Grad Transfer? Since he was shopping himself around way back in December and hasn’t selected a school and has been named a captain, it appears less likely that he’s looking. Which would be understandable.
If he’s still looking to transfer MSU or UM would be a good choice. I doubt MSU is still looking at him, but maybe they are. Who knows? But since the comments were on December 25 and MSU has picked up two quality DEs in the meantime, I would guess not.

Gotcha, my apologies when I read your statement I took it as you claiming since he was a captain he wouldn’t be transferring. That’s why I asked for clarification as that obviously wouldn’t stop anyone from transferring should they choose to.iaafan wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 2:21 pmIt doesn’t eliminate his ability to transfer, which is why I said “FWIW”.Grizaddict wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 2:00 pmHelp me understand why being selected as a captain eliminates the ability to Grad Transfer? You used “captain” and a form of the word “obvious” in consecutive sentences.

Dylan Porter a 6-6, 305-lb OL has committed to transfer to MSU from Nevada. He has three years to play three. He played high school football at Elmira, Oregon.

Found this positive compliment in a story titled: Glendive lineman Keegan Mires 'fired up' for Badlands Bowl
http://406mtsports.com/high-school/foot ... 3795b.htmlMires has been awestruck by many of his Badlands teammates, including Great Falls quarterback Blake Thelen, who Mires called “a phenomenal athlete.”

Searched with no luck. What was Sentinel called previously? Trying to remember but that is a lost cause.
Quite a talented young man there.

Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (34 Signees)
From Wikipedia.
Originally, what is now known as Sentinel was to be the new Missoula County High School replacing what is now known as Hellgate. As Missoula grew, classes were slowly returned to the Hellgate building, the 9th graders, then the 10th graders. In the mid‑1960s, Hellgate and Sentinel were created as separate four‑year high schools, with all the old team names going to Sentinel, and the new team names (pages, squires, and knights) were created with all new traditions.
