Re: 2019 MSU Recruiting (12 Verbals)
I know this is posted every year and I know no one really knows, but does anyone have any inkling as to how many scholarships we may have available this year? We have 12 seniors (no idea their scholarship levels), but that includes Logan Jones, who will probably be back next year since I don't believe he's played this year and could redshirt. That also includes Jabarri Johnson and Alex Neale, who have been rumored to potentially have another year of eligibility being worked on. So a possibility of at most 12 scholarships, but looking like 9-10.
That's obviously not taking into account kids that transfer and retire due to whatever reason they may have. Any ideas?

I’ve lost track of some of the Booms, wasn’t there one or two more that Choate tweeted out a while ago, but we still don’t know who they are? Or have all those been accounted for?

All BOOMs have been accounted for. We actually have more commits than we have BOOMs which is interesting...Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 9:28 amI’ve lost track of some of the Booms, wasn’t there one or two more that Choate tweeted out a while ago, but we still don’t know who they are? Jones and Johnson make sense to potentially be back. I haven’t heard anything about Neale. How would/could he possibly have another year?blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 9:27 amWe have 12 seniors (no idea their scholarship levels), but that includes Logan Jones, who will probably be back next year since I don't believe he's played this year and could redshirt. I don't want to steal too much from behind Colter's pay wall, but this was in Colter's article on Alex Neale on September 21.Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 9:30 amJones and Johnson make sense to potentially be back. Source: https://skylinesportsmt.com/the-lynchpi ... -together/In the off-season leading up to the 2018 campaign, the NCAA passed a variety of new rules, one centering upon games played for true freshmen while still maintaining the ability to redshirt. Newcomers are now allowed to play in up to four games before they lose the ability to redshirt, the same number of games Neale played in his first year at UNLV.
Neale and his father have been working with MSU senior associate athletic director for compliance Camie Bechtold on assembling a waiver to help Neale get back the year of eligibility he lost in 2015. The initial appeal was turned down by the NCAA but another amendment has been submitted.

I subscribe to Skyline stuff too, I just dont think I read that specific article. That’d be cool if that worked out.

Wow, I dont' remember reading that in the offseason either. That would be incredible news if he ends up with another year of eligibility, could you imagine returning our ENTIRE offensive line next year?Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 11:32 amRight on, thank you.blueandgoldblitz wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 11:25 amI don't want to steal too much from behind Colter's pay wall, but this was in Colter's article on Alex Neale on September 21.Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Thu Oct 25, 2018 9:30 amJones and Johnson make sense to potentially be back. Plus getting Jabarri Johnson and Jones back assuming they get medical redshirts. Kassis, Johnson, Willie P starting at WR. TA/Ifanse/Jones in the backfield, a full returning o line and any QB ha. Not to mention GLM in the stands. In Little League draft rooms there was always the GLM factor to consider. Good looking mom.
