Nice of him to dress up.
I'm curious to know how that happened. Did DM show up at the house unexpected? Or was it "hold on coach, lemme get this shirt off for this pic"? He has pictures with other coaches in his home and he's fully clothed in those. I guess I'm like LTown Cat, I'd probably go shirtless any time I got the chance, but this post is weird as hell
He is in Florida! Might have been sitting by the pool or hanging outside when he arrived!
Big dude that looks like an athlete! How many guys out of a Montana high school look like that??!! And look at his grades! Hoping we see him join the Cats in February!

Braedon will be taking some visits if that's the case. The 27th is right after the third official visit weekend of January.
Listened to an interview with Braedon and his first visit is with BYU and his second is at Sac. State. He didn't say who his visit is for the last weekend.

I know Jacob Kettels (OL recruit) stated in a recent 247sports article he is visiting this weekend. I would say the primary focus positions are OL, DL (interior), WR, and Secondary (S & CB). Obviously players recruited at other positions will still come on visits if the coaches want them. But I would say those are the four areas. They are going to look at a few more high school QBs as well but will be selective (Boone Abbott is a kid you just have to offer). I updated the first page of the thread with a list based off twitter activity. Can't really pay attention to offers anymore as most offers have time limits attached. Basically, its a list of recruits the coaching staff has started to follow over the past month or recruits that have had steady activity on twitter with MSU. Some of these kids may already be off the board but I'm just giving you names where I think there is still interest. As far as kids who were offered back in February of 2018 for this class, I've tracked them and the ones that haven't signed anywhere still could come on a visit this January (its how MSU landed Malik Putney last year). But based off how they are being recruited at the moment, I don't see MSU in their future. But you never know this time of year as things move very fast each week based off kids committing to schools. Recruiting boards change weekly and sometimes daily. There are still PWO candidates from Montana left out there that will visit these next several weeks (some already visited last weekend).
Also, a kicker/punter will be signed in this recruiting class. So expect several of them to be visiting campus these next couple of weeks.

Awesome update.
If we get at least 5 off that list and up to 10 would be an Awesome recruiting class.

What does this current coaching surprise do for recruiting, specifically defense?
Good point. Should help, especially in state. Any time you can pull in a couple coaches like Ioane and Daly you’re going to improve you’re recruiting in the Big Sky.
MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Tudor said Gilliard, who stands at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, recently gave a verbal commitment to be a preferred walk-on for Montana State's football team while Stultz is set to play baseball at MSU Billings.
Welcome aboard Logan! A lot to like with this kid's potential. He is one of the best power forwards in the state in basketball. Projects as a TE or DE in college though he played some linebacker for Bigfork as well. You can see my thoughts on him by following this link:

Jayden was one of MSU's first offers last February. He's likely one of those kids that has been waiting on that FBS offer. One falls through every year. He is a large human...he will be on campus this weekend.

3 coaches in home, I assume that’s a sign he’s a top target.
Also, is his brother the 4* athlete with numerous P5 offers?

Anyone see or hear about recruits visiting this weekend? Kettels, Simon, and Martin were mentioned last week.

I was wondering the same thing. He is a good student, benches 400, weighs 260 and played middle linebacker versus lineman at that weight. Looked like a man amongst boys in his hudl tape. Drives through on tackles. The tape was hard to evaluate because he seemed to be blitzing in every highlight. Was he playing in a small school lower division with fewer athletes and that was why his tape was so impressive? The lack of offers is confusing?

His offensive highlites are impressive too. I’m guessing he is being recruited for defense though.
