Croatia? One of 5 teams left right now. I'll bet that country is going nuts right now.

All of this is possible in part because of the funds generated from gracious donors of our Bobcat Club. The Bobcat Club Annual Scholarship Fund has seen a 10 percent growth in donors since 2017 and as a result, our goal to "Close the Gap" hit a record of $1,440,000, which is nearly a 20 percent increase from our previous fiscal year. While we have not met our final goal of $1,950,000 to fully fund student-athlete scholarships, progress is being made. You can help us "Close the Gap" by donating to the Bobcat Club today.

One of our main objectives in the Athletics Department is to balance our budget. I am happy to report we have achieved this for the second consecutive year. I'm proud of the work our administrators, coaches, and staff have done to achieve this. One of the many methods we have used to accomplish this is by increasing our revenues. As mentioned earlier, we hit a record in the Bobcat Club Annual Scholarship Fund and have continued to grow our ticket sales in all sports. We have also signed new agreements with Under Armour/Universal Athletic and Learfield/Bobcat Sports Properties that will add revenues and resources for our annual operations.

Progress continues to be made on the fundraising for Phase I of the Athletics Facilities Master Plan. This project is crucial for the academic, athletic and personal development of our student-athletes. Speaking of facilities, we have completed the installation of a new track surface and videoboard at the Bobcat Track and Field Complex. Worthington Arena is also in the process of receiving a new videoboard. These projects will add the energy and excitement to enhance the gameday experiences for our student-athletes, coaches and fans.

Blah, blah, blah.... I’m sure most people are just like me and we’re only hoping to read an announcement about the stadium expansion, with an actual date. Ha. Hopefully they surprise everyone at the stadium with an announcement during gold rush.

Announcing a stadium expansion at 5 PM on a Friday via a letter on social media instead of waiting to announce it to a sellout crowd at the opening home football game 6 days later would be...a really terrible idea.

I hope there's an announcement soon...I think the fan base needs to see construction cranes over the stadium....if this drags on too long...we'll lose momentum and fan giving could drop.

I’m just bumping this because I’m hoping for some sort of a facility’s plan announcement this week. I see the MSU American Indian Hall just got a huge donation the other day. Keeping my fingers crossed. Even an update on the status of the fund raising would be nice to hear. [-o<

Quiet phase.

Had to say it. Was a good Peter Fields joke, seems to maybe fit the Costello regime as well.

They’ve begun soliciting small donors as of last week. Probably announcing a significant anonymous donation during homecoming game if not sooner.

I have heard that they currently have around $7 million for the north end zone building center thing. I think UM’s was around $14 million total, so if any truth to this and I would say we are about halfway. Also heard that they have a temporary fix for the Eastside bleachers to cover up the rust until they have funds in place to replace that side. All this could be way off though.

I wonder how much of the $16 million has to be raised before they break ground? I would guess, they'd have to have donations in hand or pledges for 100%?
