Covers quite a bit of what we've been discussing.

When is the first phase scheduled to start construction? Has that been stated by Leon yet?

Re: Costello interview
I don't think a date has been set. It probably depends solely on when they get the $16 million raised.btribby wrote:When is the first phase scheduled to start construction? Has that been stated by Leon yet?

Re: Costello interview
I think he'd like to start right after next football season and have everything open and ready to go by the 2019 season. That said, I believe this project has to be funded 100% through donations. I have no idea where they are with the fund raising goal.btribby wrote:When is the first phase scheduled to start construction? Has that been stated by Leon yet?

If the priority is to build the Bobcat version of the griz "champions" center, then it will probably take over a year to build. I sent in my donation for priority 1 weeks ago.

I donated $10 last week, that means we are up to $15.00 total now. Looks like we have a ways to go.

1. We are really close and he doesn't want to ruin the announcement.91catAlum wrote:No update on the facilities fundraising???
Sheesh.
2. We aren't even close and years away from phase 1 and he doesn't want to bum everyone out.

I know for a fact at least $1,500 has been raised.

I expect about a year from now that ground will be broken on the end zone facility. At least, that's what I've heard.

Let's hope for the former. But Jay should've at least asked the question.Hawks86 wrote:1. We are really close and he doesn't want to ruin the announcement.91catAlum wrote:No update on the facilities fundraising???

Re: Costello interview
I think it will be very difficult for MSU to raise the money they want/need. I don't think the fund raising should be an indicator of the job Costello is doing. If he can get the money then yes, he did an amazing job but if he can't not so sure if anyone could have done better. It seems to be a difficult task at MSU. Our best fund raiser is Cruzado so let's hope she helps when and where she can.

Re: Costello interview
I went to a meeting the other night and was told they have 4.2 million of the need 16. They were very optimistic that the 16 million would be in by the beginning of the season. It all has to be in before they can break ground

Re: Costello interview
This is not journalism, this is a press release. you tell the story you want told. You notice this type of thing is not in a press conference.91catAlum wrote:Let's hope for the former. Re: Costello interview
Jay Sanderson already asked the question during his interview at the sonny holland game. His response was that they had secured a quarter of the funding and were hoping to break ground on the project in the spring of 2019.

Re: Costello interview
Maybe I missed it, but when Bobcat Stadium renovation is completed (sideline and end zone) what's the planned total seating capacity? Seems the plan should comtemplate a 20,000+ student population, growth in eastern Montana and most importantly, an amazing football program.
