Damn. I was hoping he'd get a lifetime contract. That's the first winning move the griz program has made in years.

I'm not trying to be selfish, but I hope TG doesn't get the job. GO CATS!

Ya gotta love the Cat-Griz game.... 2 out of the last 3 years it has cost the losing head coach his job.

Re: stitt is gone!
Would Bobby Hauck really take a pay cut to come back to Montana? I think it might be Brent Pease in the front running postition. And I think Ty Gregorak is safe in Bozeman as long as Bobby doesn't get the gig.
I am very sad to see Stitt leave, but if Haslam hires someone other than Bobby it should more than likely will be a win for us.

The first time I read this, it said, "Skyline Sports confirmed Stitt’s firing and Hauck's hiring through multiple unattached sources on Monday afternoon."
Was that a typo?????????????? Or accidental leak maybe?

He's got a personality that's hard to like alright.mslacatfan wrote:My gut tells me that Bobby will be coming back........ which makes me want to frickin puke, I hated him.
I don't know who it'll be, but if it's someone who wants to have a smash-mouth run first offense, they'll be at least a couple of years away from that happening. Their current roster doesn't even have a TE on it if I'm not mistaken, and 4 of 5 starting O-Lineman along with the closest thing they have to a TE will be graduating. This probably is a good move long term for them, but in the short term I doubt if the incoming coach is going to like the current make up of their roster with all the WR's on it. We'll see.

Rocky Long is 67. As the Associate HC at SDSU I have to think Hauck is just biding his time to take over a MWC powerhouse.

Re: stitt is gone!
If I recall correctly, by the time Hauck left he had pissed off just about every high school coach in Montana. Say what you want about Ash, he restored positive relationships between MSU and a lot of Montana high schools.

Re: stitt is gone!
Not really correct. They have Colin Bingham (6'3", 230 lbs.) who will be a junior next year and was one of the best high school tight ends I've seen in Montana in quite some time. They also have a slew of young freshman like Bryson Deming (6'4", 230), Matt Rensvold (6'4", 215 lbs.), and McKenzie Holt (6'4", 240 lbs.) who all projected at TE out of high school last year. Stitt recruited Deming and Rensvold for the "H" receiver position but the position is basically a TE split out as a receiver. The MICKSTER wrote:He's got a personality that's hard to like alright.mslacatfan wrote:My gut tells me that Bobby will be coming back........ which makes me want to frickin puke, I hated him.

Re: stitt is gone!
Do you really think TG would go back to UM after they allowed him and pushed him to leave?
I think he stays with the cats until he can move up to fbs or take a head coaching job somewhere

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when Daddy Washington called in to Haslam and told him exactly how it was gonna go.
If your left, you aren’t right.
