Good material as always Colter! Thanks. Cats can get this one if they get pressure; I'm sure Gregorak is ready!

Montana State at No. 10 Eastern Washington - Skyline Sports

Post by 77matcat » Thu Oct 12, 2017 8:04 am

I believe the key to the game defensively is having corners that can man up and affect pass routes at the line of scrimmage. If you accomplish this you’ll get to the qb.

Offensively if you control the ball and clock and score each time you have the ball you’re in the game.

I am no prophet but if we control the ball and clock and we score each time we have the ball. We win!

Ya.

Guess that’s not a revelation by any means. Call me captain obvious.

I bet you could score a field goal against EWU every time you have the ball and still lose. Just saying.

I just re-read the 2 deep. Jalen Cole is listed for both corner positions. It will be interesting to see him hit the field.

Colter - please ask Choate what the thinking was in going for 2 down 24-13. The math doesn't make sense, so I'm curious if there was a wind issue, something wrong with the kicker, etc.
Thanks!

I have to think that Kassis has a bit of freedom on that call. Why would they even line up for it if its pre-called? We hadn't tried it yet, maybe they thought we could catch them off guard and "steal" a point. Really we should have. The defender made a great play but Sullivan had it in his hands.
