Since Choate had said earlier in the week that Daly would still punt and kickoff, if they decided for one game not to have Daly do that then his post just gave UND a heads up on a surprise scheme. Regardless of if it was one game thing or not I am willing to bet he burned a bridge he won't be able to re cross. Unless of course this is injury related because keep in mind MSU will no longer comment on injuries :-k

Judging by the tone of his Facebook post, I am quite confident it is not injury related.

Seems like he's suffering from the same affliction as most griz fans, sorebuttitus.

I might be in the minority, but after his second chance I'd just as soon see him off the team after this. It creates issues with the fans, coaches and teammates. No reason to keep a negative distraction around.

Hope he stays in school but he shouldn't see the field again. Just my .02.

Yep. He needs to be off the team and that has nothing to do his 0-3 start on FGs.

Really would hope we have not heard the whole story but it appears "Mr second chance" may have burned some bridges.

If we want character guys then let's keep character guys, I don't know the story of his past, but my gut tells me there are some question marks. He can notify family all he wants in other ways than Facebook, after reading the comments, I would say he is a little agitated and wanted to take one last poke at the coaches. Better to cut bait now and not have a distraction for the rest of the season.

Pretty disparaging toward us the fans - essentially called Bobcat fans haters and traitors. I can only imagine that played some part in him losing some work as well.
Haters and traitors in reference to what? I thought the energy was awesome at the game in the second half especially.

He posted a picture of the packed stadium with the caption, "Just a picture of thousands of disloyal fans/haters." Dunno what the whole story is. The picture is facing the EZ, so I dunno if he was pissed at the student section for something, or everyone in general because people were upset he hasn't been able to hit a FG all year

There was a drunk clown behind me yelling insults at Daly, but I doubt Daly heard them. Of course, I have no clue what happened after the game of elsewhere in the stadium. Too many people confuse being a hardcore fan with actually being a member of the team. I try to abstain from criticizing individual players directly since these are college kids/young men and not professionals. I do get caught up once in a while in the excitement though. I hope Daly figures everything out and gets back on the team. He is a good kicker, punter, and Bobcat.
Agree. People can take things too far - particularly in the "heat" of a game. But people also tend to hit social media and air things they shouldn't before they engage their brain.

If he was smart, he would make his facebook page friends only. Then, not every Tom, Dick and Harry could read it.

Maybe even better would be if he was of the mind set that the team was more important than himself.
I just can't understand this generation that has to tell the whole world crap that they should keep to themselves or again better if they just didn't think the things and way they do.

no doubt. He had/has the biggest leg on the team. I'll be interested to see who is punting today.

I don't know about KO and punting, but after last week, if I was coach
he would be done with kicking FGs and PATs.

Apparently we didn't need a punter this weekend.

PAT wasn't even his fault. Line blew their assignment.
