The only change I could see is Konkol over Henderson. Konkol made a good case for starting at the end of last year. I could see Cozzie making a statement this year. Imagine 3 Mont LBs, when was the last time that happened, or has it ever?

Young, yet experienced.
Not big, but very strong.
Fast, and well conditioned.

Is this team on the small side? (Honest question). Maybe I just hadn't noticed...

OL/DL- seem to at the very least be above average, with some pretty big dudes in the mix? Am I wrong?

RB/Wr/qb - a little bit of everything, small/quick guys and bruisers

LB- yeah, definitely on the smaller side... but bignell and hill are studs.

Safety- pretty average, don't know if I would say small?

Cb- yeah, definitely smaller, especially with the freshman in the mix

No, not at all a "Small Team". LB undersized for sure, and also backup CB. Other than that, pretty big on both lines, skill positions, safety, etc.

Cb- yeah, definitely smaller, especially with the freshman in the mix

If you want to get an idea how young we are, take a look through our roster at msubobcats.com.

That is exactly how I see it Bozcat, I think transfer Jabari Johnson is in the mix at Wr before it's all said in done, especially in certain packages. I see Garcia sliding to safety and Henderson our nickel corner in nickel packages. Had no idea at backup RT, but good call on Hammock

Future looks pretty damn bright [emoji41]

We graduate 4 starters on each side of the ball. 14 of the 22 starters are coming back, 4 starters (2 on both sides of the ball) were being pushed all camp by younger guys anyway and might not be starting by midseason. Oh, and we graduate our kicker but Padmos and Peppinger get a redshirt year which will help their development for next year. Exciting times!

Super exciting times....we have a lot of young guys that although they are learning if they redshirt... come next year they are going to be huge. Some already are....Sean Hatten is already 6' 5 275 Ibs, Travis Yates 6' 3 266, Kyle Regg 6' 4 240.....one year of lifting and they can pack on easy 20 or more pounds of muscle. Now you have 3 more lineman that will be bigger or as big as the starters. They just need to learn and mature. Some of those guys may not redshirt but either way as far as lineman go we are looking good. Redd at Center, Jaxon Hashley will be healed up......this year will be a good one but in my opinion 18 is going to be a big year as well maybe even bigger. Plus Rovig and others that I may have forgotten...there was a lot of talent in this new class as we look ahead....but for now this is going to be a great year I believe...better than last year....great things in store for MSU.

When are they expecting to release the first depth chart?

really curious to see how many true freshman will be playing this year, its impressive how many of these guys had an impactful fall camp (in some cases very impactful).

According to Jon Maletz the depth chart will be released the 28th

Offensive True freshman contributing: Lance McCutcheon, Connor Wood, Zach Redd, Troy Andersen, Tyrell Burgess

Defensive True freshman contributing: Tyrell Thomas, Elu Leota

Tucker Rovig is a 'keep warm' guy - may play but hope not
Chad Kanow is in the same boat, may play at Will or Buck, but coaches hoping to redshirt him - gain some weight

Tyrell Burgess has to be the biggest surprise of Fall camp, right??? People were pretty high on guys like Troy Anderson, McCutcheon, the CB's...... I don't recall seeing many people even mention Tyrell Burgess though as a potential impact player his true freshman year.

This class if very impressive!
