Williams started 63 consecutive games in high school, 16 in his freshman year (yes, on varsity), 15 sophomore, then 16 and 16 for his junior and senior years. That's pretty incredible.

Honestly, I've always favored DTs who are shorter than prototype. Being 6'4" is actually a disadvantage there, in my opinion.

Other than that, he obviously has the bulk you look for, and his tape is straight legit. So, I love this guy.

He seems to think he will contribute this year. Is that realistic and is it necessary? It seems like our d-line is in good shape.

We have two seniors and he will probably be in the rotation next year. Feeling that way the coaches will want to get him some experience this year.

Play him the first 4 games and see how he does, then go from there.

He gets 3 games to prove he should be in the rotation. Save the fourth for if we have an injury.

I thought it was 4? Anyway, thats what I meant. see how it goes, and if it is worth redshirting him or keeping him in the rotation as a true freshman.

It is 4. He's saying to only use 3 so that they have the 4th in case of a one-game emergency at the position.

If he is the best at the position or in the top two, then play him every single game.

I am super excited to see this young man play. I think he is going to be ther real deal and between he and Tucker, we will have a real high motor, physical, and aggressive middle on the defense.
