North Dakota asked for the clock to run. Mercy rule in place.

Pick 6 Troy Anderson 65-0, I think this might be the highest score ever.

TO on downs at the 10, I think the kids are starting to feel bad for ND.

I think they could have scored 100 if the game had been played on artificial turf. The speed of the Montana players is pretty impressive.

Have to say Gilman and Lance looked pretty good. O'Riley could have done better. But the cats should be excited for this incoming class. O'Riley could have just been rusty

Gilman could be the gem of this class.

I have high hopes for RJ Fitzgerald too ... he didn't get many opportunities but he runs hard

Wow what an ugly game. Sat beside some nd fans, couldn't believe the athleticism of the mt squad. It was almost like watching a high school team take on a junior high team in terms of pure speed , quickness and athletic ability.
Troy Anderson, wow, he is just scary. He plays with a chip on his shoulder, he looks the part of a college player right now.
The cats and griz have a lot to be proud of in this class. As vim said already Welnel is a complete stud. Always in on the play, he seems to have a nose for the ball. Fitzgerald might be our next Newell. A hard nosed player with a huge motor.

It was a beautiful game! Sat right behind some fans from Dillon, maybe that was the difference. The Bobcats will have a hard time keeping Troy Anderson and a few others off the field, and I suspect the plan is in place for them to play this year. On our many kickoffs, Troy lined up next to the kicker, Keaton Anderson, and was always 2 or 3 yards ahead of the pack by the time he was to the North Dakota 40 yard line. Great hustle! Both quarterbacks had great games, and I agree with the above comment about Dick trying to do a Chris Murray! He's a real good athlete, although I'm not sure what the Griz will do with him, but they have had some smallish running backs that did all right, he's also a decent punter and it's always nice to have a punter that is fast and can pass. Somebody else pondered about Fitzgerald being similar to Newell, and from what I saw, I agree!ruralcat wrote:Wow what an ugly game. On defense it seemed that we were able to put a lot of pressure on the QB with 4 guys on the line and the passing lanes were clogged with players in blue. I think the longest offensive play that North Dakota had was a punt return that Keaton Anderson fumbled netting ND about 15 yards. Dominating defense is an understatement.

Can't say enough how well both the Montana lines played...For being out weighed by 30+ pounds fair to say it all starts up front.

True it was a beautiful game, but North Dakota might have to make this competitive. It seems like they either win or get completely blown out.
The montana defense was absolutely loaded with athletes and playmakers. That North Dakota line was always three steps behind. Big but slow.
It might be awhile before montana puts together a secondary and set of linebackers like that again. The linebacker form Glasgow could definetly play the next level if he ever wanted to give up throwing that spear.
