Post-spring ball - Skyline Sports

Post by Colter_Nuanez » Wed May 17, 2017 8:22 pm

We will have a series of stories addressing several main themes coming out of Montana State spring football. We will run the stories on skylinesports.com for the next few weeks.

Last week, I accompanied Leon Costello, Jeff Choate, Brian Fish and, for two stops at least, Tricia Binford last week on the Bobcat Club's east side tour. I'm sure I met at least a few of you on this board during our stops in Billings, Miles City, Sidney, Plentywood, St. Marie, Glasgow, Lewistown, Great Falls or Shelby. We will have a story about the current state of the Montana State athletic department with highlights from Costello's first trip around the state sometime in the next week as well.

As stated in May, I went on a four-day road trip through eastern Montana and along the Hi-Line with Leon Costello, Brian Fish, Jeff Choate and other members of the Montana State athletic department. I've been working on this long-form story chronicling that journey ever since. Tomorrow, MSU plays South Dakota State, Costello's former employer so I figured this was the week I should finish and share this story.

Apologies for not having more written content this week. This story consumed all my writing time. We will have a senior profile on Bryson McCabe in the morning as well. I spent more hours on this story than quite literally any I've written since going out on my own in the fall of 2012 so I really hope you give it a read.
