Looks like the 49ers game will be joined in progress after the Giants game. I also saw that the 1st team will only play the 1st quarter so JP should see plenty of action.

Completely forgot that Mike Person is with the Chiefs. Good luck to both of them.

Flynn was brought back to practice a couple days ago after his knee injury. He's currently playing with the 2s at left guard. He's looked pretty good so far to my untrained eye. I bet he gets a PS spot after cut downs

Watching 49ers and Chiefs. Flynn played entire game at LG. Watched every offensive play and to my estimation, he had a very good game. Never gave up yardage, threw some great blocks to spring runners. 49ers ran all day long in 27-17 win.

Many times he was the only lineman following the play down field. I didn't see him get beat in pass protection either. Seemed plenty fast.

The 49ers will also be encouraged by the performances of undrafted free agent J.P. Flynn from Montana State. Flynn has allowed just one pressure in forty four pass blocking snaps, and his PBE of 98.3 ranks 6th among guards that have participated in at least forty one passing snaps.

Listed as John Flynn on the 49er roster and wearing #99 he should be in pretty good shape now. SF currently shows 15 OL on their roster and typically end up carrying 9 or 10 on the active and 2 or 3 on their reserve roster. He is one of the largest (6'5 325) and can likely play any position on the OL if necessary. There are still two other rookies; 6'6 291 from New Hamp and 6'6 305 from Michigan.
Four others from the BSC still on the roster. Bourne (wr) EWU rookie, Carter (wr) Sac State 1, Coyle (lb) griz 4, Jackson (cb) Cal Poly 4.
