Re: New turf
Very nice looking field!!! Particularly like the Championship years going down the left side line, and soon the right as well.RobertCats wrote:https://twitter.com/DanDavies7684/status/871017034540122112 I really like the turf going all the way to the stands instead of that blue border. Is a cleaner more finished look IMO

I swung by the stadium yesterday and took a few pictures. Not the greatest, but shows a little more than the webcam.

Yes, those do show more of the grandstand rust.coachouert wrote:I swung by the stadium yesterday and took a few pictures. Not the greatest, but shows a little more than the webcam.

Lol......They look a lot better when they're full. But that's only six days out of the year.TomCat88 wrote:Yes, those do show more of the grandstand rust.coachouert wrote:I swung by the stadium yesterday and took a few pictures. Not the greatest, but shows a little more than the webcam.

I hope that ugly looking seam or wrinkle near the 45 works itself out. It could be just the grass laying over too.coachouert wrote:I swung by the stadium yesterday and took a few pictures. Not the greatest, but shows a little more than the webcam.

Re: New turf
I wouldn't recommend it... The regents gave us a ton of expansion money and the stadium is half empty unless the Grizzlies are in town. And we haven't beat them in over a decade at home. We won't win in 2017 either Murray, like Prukop will be hurt before the "BRAWL." This ridiculous offense has got to go!!! We need a ground game and a QB that can pass and we have neither!!! A mediocre defence is not enough to go anywhere in the BSC let alone get to the playoffs...

The good news is that an over optimist such as yourself makes those of us doubters look a little silly. All I have left is making fun of the way people spell defense.i_the_sky wrote:I wouldn't recommend it... This offense was good enough to win in Missoula last fall and knock the griz from playoff consideration, Mr troll. 24-17i_the_sky wrote:I wouldn't recommend it... Re: New turf
I could be wrong but I think that line is excess sand or rubber or whatever they are laying down with the turf. I don't think there would be a seam on a random yardline.AFCAT wrote:I hope that ugly looking seam or wrinkle near the 45 works itself out. I hate to derail this thread from kongponleu88's casino endorsement but here is the finished product!

And look, with the right camera angle far enough away you can barely even see the rust on the east stands!!

Re: New turf
Great pics of new turf. It is too bad the EAST grand stands are such an eyesore. Detracts from new turf. Just a coat of white paint would help. It's so ugly!!

Re: New turf
I honestly don't understand why they couldn't at least be painted. I mean if there was a concrete plan (pun intended) in place to replace them within the next year or two, then I'd say don't worry about it, but it doesn't seem like any major renovations are going to happen that soon. We can't just keep putting of doing anything at all, with the idea that the next stadium project is just around the corner.Hawks86 wrote:

We'll know what the plan is soon enough. Get your checkbook ready.John K wrote:I honestly don't understand why they couldn't at least be painted.
