https://twitter.com/SkylineSportsMT/status/846377694027694081 Saw Riley on the spring practice #2 video (about 45 secs in) looks like he beefed up while he has been away too!

That's funny right there.
It would seem that the reported weight gains must be just under the radar for triggering one of his soapbox lectures.
Usually I don't mind his lectures though because not all weight or weight gain is good.
Bignell gaining the weight he did while at the same time dropping a little body fat must be a good sign.

Quick question, how does this work? Are the players paying a full membership to Dane's gym. I would hate to see the program and Dane get into trouble for some stupid NCAA violation. I am sure the coaches and the school have checked it out, but seems sometimes you never know with the NCAA. Love it that the players work out at Dane's gym as well as what they do on campus.

Yes, nothing to glaring yet. I am still waiting for those yearly "he looks like he gained 40 lbs. of pure muscle" quotes. That will set me off!

The players are paying for it themselves. Nothing to worry about. It's a great advantage we have though. I'm sure they'll use this for recruiting as well.

The Pitt does train current Montana high school football players. Professionally, of course Dane remains unbiased because the kids are there to train. But it definitely doesn't hurt recruiting having a prime training facility in Bozeman.

Haha, when I said that I wasn't even thinking of Dane recruiting for us. I just meant having a well known, training center focused on athletes isn't something every college torn has. It's an advantage.

There was practice Saturday and practice again today. Why no news?

It may be because practices are closed.

I will have video of Josh Taufele, Bryson McCabe and Mark Orphey this week. I will also have stories on:

- Montana State's offensive line transitioning to a new coach for the fourth time in four years

- MSU's secondary transition under Orphey behind the leadership of McCabe

- Montana State's off-season professional development and what it will add both sides of the ball

- Darren Gardenhire's impact on the team and the Bobcat defense

- Nick LaSane, Jake Roper and the MSU running backs

- Video of Roper, Gardenhire and MSU running backs coach Michael Pitre.

As some of you know, I work at the Ridge Athletic Club in Bozeman along with doing Skyline full time. I had to work on Saturday morning. I was able to do the interviews they scheduled for us on Saturday morning before the session. I caught the last 30 minutes as well and took photos. It's the one Saturday I did not request off from the gym because it's the one Saturday of spring ball that does not include a scrimmage.

I am also on the selection committee and do all the media for the Montana Football Hall of Fame. Our induction banquet was in Billings Saturday night and I had to be there by 4 to do all the video interviews with the 11 inductees. When I returned home last Saturday night, I realized that not only are all the cameras full, but so is all three of our Skyline computers. Long story short, we got some extra space storage today, we will be transferring things all over to give us more room, and the content will roll out for the rest of the week and the rest of spring ball. Thanks for noticing when there isn't the content you deserve!

PS I will also share the videos of Dennis Erickson and Bill Kollar along with the stories I wrote on each for the Montana Football Hall of Fame. Both were absolutely great in their induction speeches and very honored to be recognized.

https://twitter.com/SkylineSportsMT/status/846608894797533184 Brooks has a new baby and a full time job this time of year so I have tried my hand at taking some photos during the weekday spring ball practices at MSU. I'm nowhere near Brooks' ability — which is really amazing considering he is self-taught and has been shooting sports photographer for just 3 years now — and most of my pictures are pretty rough  I did get a few decent ones the last few days. I'll post the tweets since I can't figure out how to post the actual photos ](*,)

We solved our storage issue as well. Turns out, photos are saved in file form and in another file in the "iPhoto cache". We cleared out more than 20 GB of space tonight alone. So we will be back to producing daily video along with daily print stories.

This weekend, I will share my stories on Dennis Erickson, Bill Kollar and Mike Tilleman from the Montana Football Hall of Fame booklet we put together. Those three were among 11 inductees for the second annual ceremony. I will also share video of all three.

Bruggman was at practice on Monday morning. He is still by far Montana State's best pure quarterback and best thrower. He is far superior to the other three quarterbacks currently on campus in terms of arm strength, accuracy, knowledge of the offense, snap cadence, leadership and overall presence.
