His routes could use some work, but he's fast and runs hard. about the 1:33 mark of his film he lays a LaSane hit on a DB. Good pick up, looks like the coaches are focusing on getting some burners. Vim, do you know his story? I guessing he's a PWO? any idea on offers he held?

The Class 4A Defensive Player of the Year, he was unanimously chosen First Team All-State on both offense and defense.
Steel has maintained a 3.92 GPA in the classroom.
He has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics.
“Coy Steel can change games all by himself,” said Chad Goff, head coach at Cheyenne East High. “He’s so fast and athletic, he’s a threat every time he touches the ball. He’s just as good on special teams, and on defense they put him at every position except the line.”

Looks like a good get but not exactly a burner. The article says a 4.55 40 time.luckyirishguy25 wrote:His routes could use some work, but he's fast and runs hard. about the 1:33 mark of his film he lays a LaSane hit on a DB. Re: New Player
That's a "burner" at the FCS level, especially since he's shifty and elusive. If he ran a legitimate 4.4 he'd be playing in Laramie at the very least. Shawn Johnson ran a 4.45, and I'd consider him an elite FCS "burner."gtapp wrote:Looks like a good get but not exactly a burner. Not sure how his top end speed translates to FCS, but what impressed me is he only needs one or two steps to get to top speed. Kid definitely looks like a playmaker and a winner on offense or defense.
Another great pickup by choate and staff.

all kinds of combinations there
I have a friend in LA last name Johnson. Married a Maria Long. She had to have a hyphenated last name. True story, no way to get around that comedy.
