Good article. It will be interesting to see how his and some others recruiting plays out

As I complete the new rank coming out sometime next week, I just thought I'd let you guys know some of the things being taken into consideration with this newest ranking. In between the last ranking and now, there has been state wrestling, and closing up soon is state track. So both those are huge in my upcoming ranking, and I'm sure Vims as well. Also, just any word on what the players have been doing to better themselves that may not be related to the school. And the last thing, and the least impactful for me at this stage of the football season, is offers and interest for colleges. With that being said, I'm excited to get this latest ranking out there for you guys to see! And I'm sure Vim is as well!

New ranking is out! Will filter through both lists and add the rest of the prospects (who didn't quite make the cut) back into the original posts tomorrow. Also, I would like to stress to everyone posting on this thread to try and keep it positive on these kids as they are just that...kids. I was hard on a Griz recruit last year by the name of McKenzie Holt and I have since felt embarrassed by some of my comments as they were unnecessary to be posted in a public forum, especially since I'm an anonymous poster. And at the end of the day, McKenzie is still a damn good football player so again, please try to keep it positive and don't put down a kid even if you think you are in the right to do so.

I had this question brought to my attention a couple days ago, and at first I didn't give it much thought but now I have and I still don't know how I feel about it, but everyone(including myself) is saying Sulser is #1 player in the state without doubt, but I think you could make an argument that Turner is the best. Its tough to say because they play different positions, and there are so many variables on which you can rank them, but Turner I think has the possibility to produce better in the college level than Sulser. Only because of size, both are complete studs, and I wouldn't be surprised if Sulser had a pretty good career wherever he ends up, but I had to entertain the idea of possibly another #1 player in the state. Thoughts?

You definitely could make a case for Turner being the best player. His 7.1 yards per carry and 147 yards per game last season jumps off the page at you. As do his speed and even size more so. So hard to say who's game will translate to the college game better. I wouldn't mind putting them in Blue-n-Gold to find out.

It's nearly impossible to say how anyone will translate to college football, but each had a very big impact on any given down last year. And I'm sure it will be the same their senior year as well

Jefferson High has some players to be looked at one in particular is Nate Brunett. His hudl video is pretty impressive it appears that it just is junior year, it doesn’t include his sophomore year where he rushed for 290 yards and 5 TD against Columbus. He is a little small in size but this kid will run through a brick wall if need be.

I did watch a little of Nates film and it was good. Little small like you said but definitely a top 50-60 player

Heavy Bozeman connections on the Vandal staff. Logan is setup to have a big season for the Hawks as he will be the go-to guy.

The Vandals have many, many, many Montana connections, the coaching staff is loaded with guys from Montana. And they are utilizing these connections, and I cant help but admire them for that.

Washington State has dabbled in the Montana recruitment territory for years but they rarely make an offer. Dylan Hanser of Billings Central will be a starting OLB his senior season this fall for the Cougs: http://www.wsucougars.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3669.

WSU had a couple Montana kids over for visits last year and junior day, I'm not sure if they are extremely interested in these kids but interested enough to have them come down and watch a couple of games.

I realize we can't keep them all, and I realize Montana kids are highly under recruited... But I also think its a good thing for MSU and UM, because we get so many of the diamond in the rough types. If WSU or UW, made Montana a legitimate recruiting area for themselves we'd really be hurting, Cats and griz alike.
