Unfortunate but I wish him the best. I really hoped he would move to safety.

Why is this not surprising?
Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

+1 I was really confused as to why he wasn't playing any more because he had been playing well. I assumed it was due to the shoulder injury he sustained against Bryant (I think it was them).CatBlitz wrote:Why is this not surprising?

Didn't play very much towards the end of the year, younger guys playing over him, two good CB's coming in plus another transfer when Strong will be an upperclassman...it's just not surprising.CatBlitz wrote:Why is this not surprising?

Re: Tre'Von Strong leaving team
Confirmation, details on Tre'Von Strong leaving the Montana State football team
http://skylinesportsmt.com/cornerback-t ... -football/
He didn't play a single snap the last five games of the season I don't believe. Never saw him with his helmet in his hand because he knew he wasn't going into the game. Didn't play a single special teams, fell behind Chris Harris, Naijiel Hale, Bryce Alley and Damien Washington on the depth chart.

Strong seems like a good kid. Hope he finds a program where he can make an impact.

Don't think Choate and crew liked the 10 yard cushion he gave the receivers all the time. Wish him well.

Re: Tre'Von Strong leaving team
I was wondering the same, I hate the fact we never see who is hurt and why or what happened. He was asked to do a tough job last year, all things considered as a true freshman he competed. Hope he keeps playing, wish him the best.BleedingBLue wrote:+1 I was really confused as to why he wasn't playing any more because he had been playing well. I don't think the kids get to choose how much cushion they give, the coaches tell them how and where to line up.Bobcat Jim wrote:Don't think Choate and crew liked the 10 yard cushion he gave the receivers all the time. Wish him well.

Could this be due to the injury from last year? Back injuries don't just go away.

That's too bad, but that's the name of the game. Put in the work or get out worked. Pretty excited for the young corners we have, if they put in the work, we're going to be real good at CB. Best of luck to Tre'Von.

I guess we'll see how green the pasture is when he decides where he's going.

Re: Tre'Von Strong leaving team
To me he always seemed like a natural safety. I wonder if he could have moved positions early if it would have worked out better.
Also it's worth noting he has a RS and could lateral. He has enough decent film that somebody might take a shot with him.

Re: Tre'Von Strong leaving team
I hope when you go to the games or watch the games you don't think the cornerbacks get to choose how much cushion they give a guy?! C'mon man!!Bobcat Jim wrote:Don't think Choate and crew liked the 10 yard cushion he gave the receivers all the time. Wish him well.
He also didn't leave due to injuries especially when he started last year as a true freshman and then started this year. I assume it's way deeper than that, and maybe he will fit better in a smaller program, time will tell I guess.
If your left, you aren’t right.
