Wow! Look at the pipes on Hash. It's going to be good to see his old man in Bozeman for games.

I count 7 MSU FB signees playing in AA and A title games. AA: McCutcheon, O'Reilly, Hashley, and Gilman. A: Hanser, Anderson, and Fitzgerald.
MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: 2017 MSU Recruiting (28 Commits)
Hey fellas. I will jump in on this:
TOP 6 class of 17 signees
1. Jalen Cole-Trinity League (3 star) (Multiple FBS Offers) Attributes: Covers very well, great feet-fast, sees field well, opens hips very well in coverage, played in premier league in the country against top competition.
2. Travis Yates-Trinity League (3 star) (Multiple FBS Offers) Attributes: Thick strong kid, sees through blocks well, plays with attitude, good feet and extension, already 270 lbs athletic, played in premier league in the country against top competition.
3. Terrell Thomas-Trinity League (2 star) (HAD Addtl offers) Attributes: Fast, anticipates well in coverage, aggressive, also played on championship Team ranked 2 in entire country.
4. Jaxon Hashley- Attributes: Great feet, 2 sport athlete, long measurables (would be a great Olineman in my opinion) (if he plays defense I see him as a 5 tech)
5. Sean Hatten- (Multiple FBS Offers) Attributes: Great size and potential, aggressive, good lateral movement, can pull as well and get to the next level.
6. Tucker Rovig- Attributes: Can run and pass, checks down on receivers well, great height for a QB, good decision maker-very little panic from the pocket.

Re: 2017 MSU Recruiting (28 Commits)
I've been told that Troy Anderson ran a 10.89 100m today. 6'3 215 and only a 17 yr old signee. Only going to grow. What's he projected to play at MSU?

Freakish athlete ... literally could play WR, S, LB, heck even a big bruising RB in my opinionTomCat88 wrote:You heard right. 10.89 in Corvallis yesterday.94VegasCat wrote:I've been told that Troy Anderson ran a 10.89 100m today. 6'3 215 and only a 17 yr old signee. I like him at LB, already good size, excellent speed, I think he could play this year somewhere on the field ...

Anderson's previous best was 11.05 in the prelims of the state A meet. He ran 11.12 in the final. That's a significant improvement.

10.89? Anyone know how that was timed? If electronic, that's blazing fast by Montana standards. Especially for the first meet of the season. Not many sub 10.9 times have been run in Montana, especially outside of Butte. Four of the top 10 non-wind-aided 100 times were recorded in Butte.

Haven't heard anything about Vander lately. Are all signs still pointing to him being in Bozeman this summer?

Re: 2017 MSU Recruiting (28 Commits)
Yes. He needs to pass one class and he's on track to do so. I talked to Pitre about it the other day and they are in consistent communication with him. He is anticipated to earn eligibility and be on campus when the rest of the players report back in June. He was not a mid-year qualifier because he fell one credit short. So should be very easy for him to get eligible.Catsrgrood wrote:Haven't heard anything about Vander lately. Are all signs still pointing to him being in Bozeman this summer?

Didn't we get a late commit from a QB/S from Minnesota? I don't see him on the list.

Re: 2017 MSU Recruiting (28 Commits)
Ty Okoda. However, nothing was ever announced from the MSU side so I'm assuming he is a fall camp invite (walk-on). Four PWOs (Coy Steel, RJ Fitzgerald, Peyton Hanser, and Ty Morgan) were announced by the school when their official paperwork was in. Okoda wasn't one of them. The only thing we know about him is that he announced his commitment to MSU.iaafan wrote:Didn't we get a late commit from a QB/S from Minnesota? I don't see him on the list.
