Re: Former MSU standout Alex Singleton signs with Seahawks
I wonder if he had multiple offers. They say if you have choices your odds are better as a FA than being drafted in the late rounds because you pick the team that gives you the best odds. That assumes you have choices. At 232 lbs. (his pro day weight) he is pretty small but the Vikings took the UCLA LB in round 2 and he is 232 and considered the best ILB in the draft so he has a chance.

Wahoo! Congrats to Alex!
But damn, the Hawks LB corp is loaded. I'd have preferred to see him go elsewhere.

But what does that say about Alex that he is going to a team like that?! Pretty awesome he gets that opportunity.Jobu wrote:Wahoo! Congrats to Alex!

It will be interesting to watch whether or not Seattle hangs on to Bruce Irvin.

Congrats to Alex, glad to see him get picked up. He deserves a shot to play on Sundays. I think his biggest edge is, he is a competitor and goes full speed every play.

Yep. Big Congrats. Looks like he is up to 242. They have 12 total LB's on their roster right now and carry 7 on the final 53.

Shame Coyle didn't stay in Bozeman. 'Hawks could've had 2 Cats at LB.
A lot of depth there but hopefully he can secure a spot. He's got the ability.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Well glad you know what it means, but I think its more of a case of: Why the F, do people post things like, I know something about this situation but I'm not going to tell anyone... When you could have avoided speculation by others, by NOT saying ANYTHING.SACCAT wrote:First part means he hasn't been in Bozeman, he has been back home in Cali.91catAlum wrote:What does that mean?SACCAT wrote:He hasn't been in town...And yes, I know why you are asking.bertram wrote:Any local news stations done an interview with Alex since his signing ?

How dare you post something critical of a cryptic post. I for one know why he is being cryptic, and it would curl your toes to know why. I think he should have to post photos of the best secret agents to make up for it.luckyirishguy25 wrote:Well glad you know what it means, but I think its more of a case of: Why the F, do people post things like, I know something about this situation but I'm not going to tell anyone... Hmm if so many people know what IT is, you would think everyone would know... after all I get all my good MT gossip from BCN and Egriz.allcat wrote:How dare you post something critical of a cryptic post. But in the grand scheme of things, personally, IDGAF.
Congrats Alex, good luck in the NFL.

I don't know Alex's secrets, I'm sure I know Sac's secrets. I just want him to make up for his indiscretions.luckyirishguy25 wrote:Hmm if so many people know what IT is, you would think everyone would know... after all I get all my good MT gossip from BCN and Egriz.allcat wrote:How dare you post something critical of a cryptic post. For Luckyirishguy25: It has nothing to do with secrets or hidden meanings. he knows why he asked that question, and it had NOTHING to do with if Alex was on the news or not. He asked it because Wags was on every news channel (because he is still in Montana).

Hawks LB corp just got a bit lighter:Jobu wrote:Wahoo! Congrats to Alex!
But damn, the Hawks LB corp is loaded. I'd have preferred to see him go elsewhere.
The Seattle Seahawks waived five players on Tuesday -- linebacker Mike Taylor, defensive lineman Julius Warmsley, nose tackle Justin Renfrow, linebacker Mike Zimmer, and offensive lineman Jared Wheeler, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
Renfrow, Warmsley, Wheeler , and Zimmer were signed to future contracts in February. Taylor was waived with a failed physical designation.
http://247sports.com/Bolt/Seahawks-waiv ... t-37131173
So there are 9 LB's total now on roster, 2 rookies - Singleton and Quayshawn Nealy from Georgia Tech. Mike Zimmer was on the Hawks practice squad last year, but listed as FB. Hawks list Singleton at 242#. If I remember correctly, Seattle keeps 7 LB's on their 53, so he'd at least have to beat out 2 guys for a spot, plus a lot of other things that happen between now & final cuts.
