Looks like they played in back to back rose bowls too! McEndoo's team lost his Rose Bowl, but Eck's team won. That automatically means that Eck is the better coach!

This is a great hire. It appears he likes to keep his foot on the gas as much as Cramsey does. Looking at his last two seasons as the OC and Oline coach, his offenses scored an average of almost 42pts a game, with 7 games being 50+

It seems (from a few things I read) Cramsey got to hand pick his OL coach. I have to believe this is a great hire and Eck will be stud at MSU. My trending optimism continues.

Ex-Bobcat Shonquille Dorsey played at Minnesota State. Their lead RB's name is Connor Thomas. And he's going from one MSU to another MSU.

A guy on AGS who is knowledgeable about Mankato football descibed Eck.

Very loud, out there type. Not a shrinking violet. The players who I talked to, particularly the offensive linemen, seemed to like him...

MSU ran a read option and had a great o-line. Eck mixes up his calls, I wouldn't call him predictable.

Minnesota State went from averaging 4.1 per rush and 5.7 per play the two years prior to Eck, to 5.8 per rush and 7.0 per play the two years he was there.

As the Oakland A's used to say "What the heck, get the Eck".

The article on msubobcats.com said his offense averaged 379.3 per game over two seasons, but it was a lot more than that. They were at 483 per game in 2013 and 447 in 2014. So probably around 464, not 379. Big difference there.
