Coach Ash did not know about it when I asked him about it on the conference call this morning. Here's his reaction:

"I did not know that and that is tragic news, a shocker," Ash said. "He would always meet us in Butte on the weekend of the Cat-Griz game and he's tell us about the historical rivalry. Gosh, he was a passionate man about the game. He helped raise it to another level in terms of national prestige and recognition. That is sad news."
