Re: Two QBs will operate UCA's power offense on Saturday
Both Reed and Howard are left handed. I watched the Texas Tech game twice and the offense looks a lot like ours using multiple sets but running the same plays. Reed is a short "take what they give you" type of passer. He is very accurate and has good escape ability and is pretty physical. He will run if cornered and can use his legs well. Neither QB employs the run as part of the offense though. Howard is more of a "down the field" type of passer. He has a great touch on the long ball.
The defense lines up with a 3 man line most of the time. that may have been because of Texas Tech's speed on offense and prolific passing game. They played a cover two a lot and sometimes rotated into quarters from that. Most of the time there was a Sam linebacker or nickel back that would join the three man rush or play coverage.
