McGhee had his first start against DII Ft. Lewis. His second game was vs. FBS Wazzu. It's just the opposite for Prukop as he goes against FBS Arkansas State, then DII Black Hills. McGhee was 11-17-0 for 178 yards and 2 TDs (2 carries 15 yards) vs. Ft. Lewis and 24-37-3 266 yards 2 TDs (9 carries for -8 yards) vs. Wazzu.

Wazzu was pretty bad back then coming off a 1-11 season in 2009 and going 2-10 in 2010. Arkansas State, despite playing in a weaker conference, is a more formidable team IMO.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

While the 2010 team had some great players, if what I have been reading as written by Colter, Tom, and others that have attended practice is correct, I believe the thing that sets this team apart from the 2010 team is the depth, availability, and talent of the 2's and in some cases the 3's. Injuries have often been the difference in the success of our teams from year to year and I think our depth has generally been increasing from year to year (last year being an exception with injuries beyond what our depth could handle) although we still are not as deep as we could be in some areas. We've already handled some injury losses this year with not a lot of drop in the anticipated production.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.
