Over the last month or so ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd (and Eastern Washington alum.) has interviewed a local paper guy who covers the Packers. The last time was late last week. His take on th Greenbay rookie cornerbacks, after talking with the staff was, Carroll maybe the high profile draftee Thomas maybe the guy who see more time. Again to kind of paraphrase they felt at 5-10 Carroll while a great athlete, had a lot more problems that he needed to work out before he would be an effective pro athlete, not saying down the line he would not be a good corner, but he still needed developement time. In Joey's case they talked about him being the total package, the only thing slowing him down was transition from D-1aa play to NFL. They talked about a few problems with technique, but, had already made temedous progress in working out these problems. The thing he continude to say was that Joey had very few limitations to over come and he has good size, speed (though not as fast as Carroll, but compares very well to other NFL corners), but his biggest attribute was his additude, and work habbits.
Good luck Joey
