2017 MT HS Football - Week 10

Post by VimSince03 » Wed Oct 25, 2017 9:36 am

Class AA

Potential Playoff Seeds:

1.) Billings Senior (9-0)
2.) Helena High (7-1)
3.) Missoula Big Sky (7-2)
4.) Helena Capital (6-3)
5.) Billings West (6-3)
6.) Kalispell Flathead (5-3)
7.) Missoula Sentinel (4-4)
8.) Bozeman (4-5)

Bottom Six (Currently out of playoffs):

9.) Kalispell Glacier (3-5)
10.) Billings Skyview (3-6)
11.) Great Falls CMR (3-6)
12.) Great Falls High (2-7)
13.) Butte (2-7)
14.) Missoula Hellgate (0-9)

Player of the Week (Week 9): Kalispell Glacier RB Drew Turner - 276 rushing yards on 28 carries for 5 touchdowns; Missoula Big Sky QB Levi Janacaro - 362 total offensive yards (281 rushing/81 passing) for 5 touchdowns (4 rushing/1 passing)

Games of the Week (Week 10): Billings Skyview at Bozeman (If Bozeman beats Skyview, they are in the playoffs and eliminate Billings Skyview AND Kalispell Glacier. With a win and a Sentinel loss, Bozeman would claim the #7 seed. If Skyview wins, they would need Glacier to lose to Hellgate...which is not likely.); Billings Senior at Billings West (West is still in contention for a Top 4 seed with a win but that win would have to come against the best team in AA, who has already clinched the #1 seed so I'm interested to see how much Murdock plays his starters. If West loses, they will finish no less than #6 in AA playoff seeding.); Missoula Big Sky at Butte (If Big Sky beats Butte AND Helena High loses to Flathead, the Eagles will be the #2 seed in the playoffs. If Big Sky loses, they can finish no less than #4 in AA playoff seeding so they are guaranteed a 1st round bye.); Kalispell Flathead at Helena High (If Helena High wins, they clinch the #2 seed in the AA playoffs. If they lose, they can still clinch the #2 seed if Big Sky loses to Butte. Helena High can finish no less than #3 in AA playoff seeding. If Flathead wins, they would need West AND Capital to lose to claim the #4 seed in the playoffs. Two of Flathead's three losses were to West and Capital.); Helena Capital at Missoula Sentinel (If Capital wins, they guarantee themselves the #4 seed in the AA playoffs and a first round bye. If Capital loses, they would be leapfrogged in the standings only by West and/or Flathead if they win. If both those teams win and Capital loses, Capital is the #6 seed. If Sentinel wins, they clinch a playoff spot. If Sentinel wins and Flathead loses, a tiebreaker would dictate who gets the #6 and #7 seed of the two. If Sentinel loses AND Bozeman wins AND Glacier wins, Sentinel would be eliminated from the playoffs due to their loss to Glacier. If Sentinel loses AND Glacier wins AND Bozeman loses, Sentinel would clinch the #8 seed.); Missoula Hellgate at Kalispell Glacier (The highest Glacier could finish is the #7 seed in the AA playoffs. Assuming a Glacier win over Hellgate, they are in if Bozeman loses OR Sentinel loses.)
