When he is not flipping burgers, a um grad moonlights as a producer of Dateline. Hence, he has the host of Dateline read their fight song.

UM people seem to really get off on their fight song. I went to a cat-griz party where a UM fan insisted on singing their fight song every time they scored. I left.

Maybe some other school did this before MSU. I don’t know. But for a profanity laced chant, it’s more original than the UM football players and their head coach chanting the long version of “FTC!” in the middle of the field.
