Urban Meyer/Bobby Hauck

Post by Anacomando » Wed Aug 01, 2018 11:08 pm

I'll just say that Urban Meyer has always been trash and he deserves to be fired. He has for decades knowingly allowed his players and fellow coaches to be completely out of control and think they are above the law. This same sentiment is eerily similar to Bobby Hauck. I will post right here, right now...Hauck does not make it to Fall 2020. He will get fired from UM before then. Write it down!

Agree Anacomando, three ways this goes IMO.

1.this delusional re-hire to bring back the past is going to fail and be a big disappointment.

2. Ohio State or Alabama steal Hauck away as their head coach

3. Griz hire Hauck a 3rd time to bring the program back from "the ash heap of history"

I think Choate’s sound bite sums it up perfectly: the sequel is never as good as the original.

It’s a quick, simple observation that stands the test of time.

I'm not sure this comparison is fair because Urban Meyer is actually good at (part of) his job.

Well, unless Godfather II or The Empire Strikes Back are from your time.

Empire is not a sequel. It's the second installment of a trilogy. Godfather II is better than the first. So, you're at one out of how many sequels ever released?

If you're intent on nit picking, I can't stop you and I won't try. I'll say you're missing the point and leave it at that.

This is what would happen with hauck. If he found himself in a situation that most would get fired for like this, he'd get a slap on the wrist. Too many big name boosters who care too much about winning ala OSU.
