Having a tournament close to the competing schools makes sense. Last night Northern State from Aberdeen, SD played in the DII Final Four in Sioux Falls and it was sold out.

It is not in driving distance for nearly all schools (fan base). If the Cats were in the finals, you are already in Reno or you are not. Boise is better, but still pretty far from most fans.

Personally, I'd much rather have the BSC Tournament at MetraPark in Billings. Then again, I wouldn't mind it any if Billings has the NAIA Women's National Tournament in perpetuity, either.
