Idaho inching closer to a new arena

They've been talking about it for a long time, but a recent $10 million donation from Idaho Central Credit Union gets them within $11 million of their goal.
I have never been to one of the Big Sky's football domes for a basketball game, but watching them on TV or the computer, they look pretty awful. ISU's in particular.

The Vandals are usually pretty good at basketball. With a new building their recruiting should get even better.

That new Idaho arena looks pretty awesome, as does the one Portland State is building. I've been to a basketball game at ISU's Holt Arena and you are correct that it is a pretty terrible venue for basketball. It will be interesting to see what, if any, plans MSU releases for renovations to the arena part of the Fieldhouse. There were images of this released with the facilities plan but this seemed to be way down the list of phases/priorities of the project.
