The Tommies (St. Thomas) played the Johnnies (St. John's) in front of 35,355 fans at Target Field in Minneapolis yesterday. Being a Thomas John and my mom being from St. Paul that caught my attention. Tommies 20, Johnnies 17.
My aunt was a Catholic nun and she resided and taught music at St. Katherine's, which is in St. Paul and is the sister school of St. Thomas. I spent a few nights at the St. Katherine's convent back in the summer of 1984. Turned out to be a good year.
